About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Facility Patrol in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

Have three or more years of combined law enforcement military or security experience or possess a college degree.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and judgment.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and promote a secure environment.
Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report suspicious activity.
Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and/or daily activities as required by Allied Universal and client policies.
Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders as needed during incidents and critical events.
Maintain a visible presence at the location to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and licensing requirements regarding the carrying and use of firearms while on duty.
