About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driving Role in Elkton, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observed details and reporting concerns according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify conditions that may require attention.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor access as directed, and communicate with site contacts regarding security-related concerns or unusual activity.
• Support Allied Universal and site teams by following post orders, maintaining a visible presence, and assisting with security-related requests in a professional manner.
