About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driving Role in Lumberton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A valid firearms permit is preferred.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government corrections location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following post orders and applicable use of force guidelines for an armed patrol post.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, perimeters, access points, and other assigned areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and support order at the location.
  • Monitor movement throughout assigned areas, observe for unusual behavior or conditions, and report security-related concerns, policy violations, and maintenance issues according to site procedures.
  • Work with facility staff, visitors, and/or law enforcement as appropriate, document incidents in a clear manner, and support controlled access and emergency actions as directed.
