As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and armed certification. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with team members and visitors, and represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, teamwork-driven, and integrity-focused values.

Requirements

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail sales areas, receiving and loading areas, parking lots, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual conditions, reporting concerns and documenting incidents in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain a professional presence while interacting with law enforcement, emergency responders, store personnel, and members of the public as needed.
