Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at a prominent government location. You will conduct armed patrols throughout assigned areas, help to deter security-related incidents, and provide a reassuring presence for everyone onsite. This position also requires driving responsibilities, allowing you to cover various locations as needed. Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain order within the location.
Document observations, incidents, and activities in a clear and timely manner as required by site policies and Allied Universal procedures.
Collaborate with law enforcement personnel and other emergency responders as needed, following established protocols.
Remain alert and prepared to respond to incidents that require an armed security-related response.
