Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
At least one year of security-related experience is required.
An active armed guard card or license is required.
Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, addressing security-related issues as they arise.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor and report any suspicious behavior or incidents observed during patrols, maintaining clear communication with Allied Universal management and/or local authorities as necessary.
Follow all protocols for the handling and carrying of firearms in accordance with Allied Universal and client-specific guidelines.
Assist visitors, employees, and/or contractors by providing guidance and security-related information as requested.
Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs as required by Allied Universal and the location's standards.
