This armed and driving position involves monitoring assigned areas, responding to situations as they arise, and providing outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • At least two years of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor for and report any suspicious activity or security-related issues within the educational environment.
  • Assist with access control by verifying identification and/or authorization for entry to designated areas.
  • Support emergency response activities, including assisting with evacuations and/or lockdowns as needed.
  • Prepare and submit detailed incident reports and daily activity logs in accordance with company and client requirements.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized behavior and provide reassurance to staff, students, and visitors.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when necessary to address incidents on the premises.
