As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Spruce Pine, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer in a government corrections location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with site leadership and/or public sector partners.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or permissions as required, and report suspicious behavior, contraband concerns, and/or unusual conditions according to post orders.
• Support movement control, restricted area access, and/or emergency protocols while maintaining a professional presence and following all applicable laws, regulations, and site-specific requirements.
