As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Shift in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Our Armed Patrol Officers in a government location conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with professionalism and integrity. Requirements

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a corrections officer license.
  • Possess a DD214 with honorable discharge, or an associate degree, or 60 college credits, or a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Possess a law enforcement officer license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with supervisors and/or public agency contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verify access permissions when required, and report policy violations, suspicious activity, and/or security-related concerns.
  • Support order at the location by following post instructions, maintaining a visible presence, and assisting with security-related responses during public interactions, emergencies, and/or special situations.
