Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• An armed guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observed activity and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and movement throughout the location, verifying credentials, controlling entry and exit activity, and supporting established post orders and government protocols.
• Assist with security-related checks of assigned areas, equipment, and/or restricted spaces, and work closely with site leadership and public sector personnel during routine operations and emergency situations.
