As a Security Officer Armed Driver Patrol Shift in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech location as an armed and driving officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible security-related presence, and help to deter incidents. Requirements

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, offices, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Serve in an armed post while following post orders, reporting protocols, and applicable laws and/or regulations related to the assignment.
• Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity by verifying credentials, observing visitor movement, and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
