As an Armed Security Officer at a residential location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving post requires operation of a vehicle in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. You will deliver outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with residents and visitors, and support a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Have at least six months of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking facilities, entry points, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and observe residents, visitors, vendors, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures; verify credentials and direct individuals as appropriate.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrol findings, suspicious activity, and other security-related observations.
