As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Operations in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor assigned areas, and respond professionally to concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, teamwork-focused culture. Requirements

  • Possess at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess at least five years of security-related experience.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfortably use a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or public emergency services as directed by site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government facility interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures; assist with visitor direction, credential checks, and documentation of access-related activity.
  • Prepare accurate reports and maintain required records regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
