About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver Nights in Long Beach, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and stay visible to help deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, and an armed post requiring an armed guard card or license. Bring integrity, teamwork, and a people-first mindset while delivering clear communication and strong customer service.

Requirements

• An armed guard card/license is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and tenants at a commercial real estate location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to alarms, disturbances, and/or other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site contacts and public responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
• Control access by monitoring entrances, checking credentials as required, and directing visitors, vendors, and deliveries according to site procedures.
• Complete detailed reports and logs of patrol activity, incidents, and/or observations, and communicate relevant updates to supervision and site management.
