Requirements

An armed guard card or license is required.
An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and vehicle entry records, and report access-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and public emergency responders as directed.
Maintain required armed post qualifications, carry assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws and site procedures, and complete accurate incident and daily activity reports.
