As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Documentation in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Possess baton certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorization as required, and assist with visitor direction, entry procedures, and traffic flow.
  • Prepare clear and accurate reports related to incidents, patrol observations, access-control activity, and other security-related matters.
