Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card and/or License.
  • Possess 5 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with property management and/or public emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, common spaces, and perimeter access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas while verifying access permissions and reporting maintenance, lighting, and/or property concerns that could impact daily operations.
  • Carry assigned armed post equipment in accordance with site post orders and Allied Universal guidelines while maintaining professionalism and following all applicable security-related protocols.
