Requirements

An armed guard card or license is required.
A DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.
This is primarily a driving post.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, government location policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities in an armed post assignment.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate contacts.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
Monitor access activity and verify identification, credentials, and/or visitor authorizations in accordance with site protocols and applicable post orders.
Carry authorized equipment in accordance with Allied Universal standards, site requirements, and applicable laws while maintaining professionalism during public interactions and routine patrol activities.
