Requirements

Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
Possess a valid armed guard card and/or license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, riders, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts, dispatch, and/or local law enforcement as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, administrative buildings, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and high-traffic public areas, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, unattended items, and/or policy violations according to post orders.
Carry authorized armed equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies and post requirements, maintaining professional presence and readiness to respond to security-related concerns within the location.
