As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Coverage in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and local authorities when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and sensitive equipment spaces, verifying access credentials and reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations.
  • Support incident response and business continuity efforts by preparing clear reports, assisting with evacuations or shelter-in-place procedures, and following post orders and client-directed protocols.
