Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a defense-related location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter locations, helping to identify unusual activity, unsecured entry points, and/or potential policy violations.
  • Monitor entrances, credential checks, and vehicle activity in accordance with site protocols, helping to support authorized access and the reporting of suspicious behavior.
  • Support Allied Universal and site leadership with detailed incident reports, shift logs, and/or observations regarding operational conditions, hazards, and security-related issues.
