Requirements

  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a public transportation environment.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services and documenting security-related events as required.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout stations, platforms, concourses, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points and high-traffic public areas, verify authorized entry where required, and report hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or unusual conditions to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support transportation operations by observing crowd activity, assisting with incident control measures, and following post orders and directives related to government location protocols.
