Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. Requirements

• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree, is required.
• An armed guard card/license is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A New Jersey RPO Certificate is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Maintain an armed presence in accordance with post orders, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal standards while handling security-related situations with professionalism and sound judgment.
• Support access control activities by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials when required, and reporting policy violations, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
