You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while upholding site procedures. An armed guard card or license is required. Requirements

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and agency personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and emergency services as directed by site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, control entry and exit in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate activity, incident, and patrol documentation.
  • Maintain required firearm qualifications and follow all applicable laws, Allied Universal procedures, and site-specific requirements for armed officers.
