Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorization, and entry permissions in accordance with healthcare facility policies.
  • Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Maintain accurate logs and reports related to visitor access, deliveries, incidents, and other security-related activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify unauthorized access and report observed concerns.
