As a Security Officer Armed Officer Patrol Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Requirements

• Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with store leadership and/or local law enforcement when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the sales floor, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help deter theft, unauthorized access, and/or disruptive behavior while maintaining a professional presence.
• Support loss prevention and store operations by reporting suspicious activity, assisting with de-escalation, and completing required reports related to security-related incidents.
