Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5 or more years of armed security experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a busy retail location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while maintaining an armed presence in accordance with post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor customer and employee activity, observe entrances and exits, and report security-related concerns, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations to management and local authorities when appropriate.
  • Support loss prevention and asset protection efforts by documenting incidents, assisting with access control, and/or following established procedures for trespassing, disorderly conduct, and emergency situations.
