Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card is required.
  • Have at least 1 year of armed related, corrections, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and high-traffic locations while verifying credentials, controlling access, and reporting unusual conditions according to post instructions.
  • Support Allied Universal and site leadership with routine reports, incident notes, and other security-related duties as assigned based on the location and operational needs.
