Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Possess at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Provide a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a financial services location.
  • Monitor front desk activity, greet visitors, verify identification and/or access credentials, and direct employees, guests, and vendors according to site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate details to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain awareness of lobby, entry points, and reception areas to help to deter unauthorized access and support a professional environment.
  • Complete required logs, visitor records, and incident documentation, and report security-related concerns, maintenance issues, and/or procedural questions to site leadership.
