About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Inmate Transport in Bushnell, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine mobile and foot patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support the public with strong communication and professionalism. This is an armed, driving post for individuals who value teamwork, integrity, and a caring culture while delivering reliable, agile service in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and visitor activity while following post orders and reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations through appropriate channels.
  • Support public-facing operations by assisting staff, visitors, and law enforcement personnel with directions, access control, and incident documentation as needed.
