About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Driver Patrol in Punta Gorda, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Possess 2 or more years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, location policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or local law enforcement as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorized entry, following site-specific protocols for screening, credential checks, and visitor processing.
  • Support emergency and routine operations by providing visible presence, assisting with de-escalation, and preparing clear, accurate incident and activity reports.
