About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Inmate Transport in Land O Lakes, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed, driving Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A minimum of 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observations and/or actions taken according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry of staff, visitors, and contractors while following post orders and reporting suspicious behavior or policy violations.
  • Communicate with local law enforcement, emergency responders, and site contacts when needed, and assist with preliminary incident response, alarm follow-up, and/or evacuation support.
