As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will respond to concerns, communicate clearly, and provide outstanding customer service while upholding Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first values with integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with hospital personnel and emergency responders as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening, access control, and enforcement of site-specific policies for restricted areas.
  • Prepare accurate reports and documentation for incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
