As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will patrol a healthcare location, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Have at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or public agencies as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Carry authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific procedures.
  • Document observations, incidents, and actions taken through clear, accurate reports and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site personnel.
