As a Security Officer Armed Guest Services in Fort Lauderdale, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government healthcare setting, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year armed related, corrections, law enforcement and/or military experience.
  • An armed guard card is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and other members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, or policy violations to site leadership and/or law enforcement.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding incidents, patrol activities, and other security-related observations in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
