Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrols Full-Time in Atlanta, GA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible at a government location, helping to deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A minimum of three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
• Graduation from a law enforcement or military police training program or an equivalent program is required.
• A minimum of one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require the use of armed response.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verifying identification and/or credentials as required by site protocols.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as directed by Allied Universal and site management.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed during incidents.
• Remain alert and observant to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or any prohibited activities within the government facility.
• Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific policies and procedures related to armed patrol duties.
