Requirements

Possess 5 or more years of security-related experience.
Possess 1 year of armed related, corrections, law enforcement or military experience.
An armed guard card or license and unarmed guard card.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government-related location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and help to regulate entry and exit activity according to site instructions, reporting suspicious behavior and/or policy violations.
Support law enforcement and/or first responders during emergencies, alarms, medical calls, or evacuation events while following Allied Universal and site protocols.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
