Security Officer - Armed Financial Patrol
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Armed Financial Patrol in Santa Cruz, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will conduct routine patrols within financial institution locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with clients and visitors, providing outstanding customer service while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and innovation. Requirements
- At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the premises and perimeter of the financial institution location.
- Observe and report any suspicious activities and/or potential threats to property, personnel, or assets.
- Assist with access control and verify identification of individuals entering restricted areas.
- Communicate and collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when required.
- Complete detailed and accurate incident and daily activity reports for all security-related matters.
- Support Allied Universal management and team members in maintaining a secure environment for employees, clients, and visitors.
