Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Financial Patrol in Ventura, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within financial institution locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a strong and reassuring presence. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to support a secure environment, and deliver exceptional customer service. Requirements

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate protocols for an armed post.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the financial institution and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
Monitor for suspicious behavior and/or potential threats within the location, reporting observations to Allied Universal management and site leadership as required.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential risks and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
Assist with access control, verifying credentials of individuals entering restricted areas as needed.
Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, patrols, and/or any security-related activities observed during the shift.
