About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Financial in Charlotte, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned financial institution locations to help deter security-related incidents and foster a welcoming environment. You will conduct regular patrols, remain visible throughout the property, and interact with staff and visitors while providing exceptional customer service. This armed post allows you to make a meaningful impact through teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach in a dynamic setting.

Requirements

Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor for suspicious activity and report any irregularities according to site protocols.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential issues within the financial institution environment.
Work closely with site personnel and/or visitors, addressing questions or concerns related to security-related matters.
Complete incident reports and daily activity logs as required by Allied Universal and client site protocols.
Support access control measures and verify identification as necessary.
Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies or security-related incidents as needed.
