As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. Requirements
- Possess 1+ years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Possess an armed guard card/license.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a public sector location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting concerns through proper channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter spaces to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential issues.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and/or help to enforce location rules, restricted areas, and posted procedures.
- Serve in an armed patrol role by maintaining readiness, handling security-related responsibilities with professionalism, and/or coordinating with supervisors and public officials during incidents.
