Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, including documenting events and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and support controlled entry and exit procedures in accordance with site protocols.
• Maintain awareness of the location and surroundings, observe for policy violations or potential concerns, and follow post orders for reporting, escalation, and incident response.
