As a Security Officer - Armed Facility in Riviera Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors through strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • An armed guard card and guard card is required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of armed security, law enforcement or corrections experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • A state, county, and/or city issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders and company policy.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, observing conditions and reporting unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations to help to deter unwanted behavior.
  • Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and document visitor, staff, and/or vendor activity in support of site procedures and healthcare location protocols.
  • Prepare clear, timely reports of incidents, patrol activities, and/or observed concerns, and communicate relevant information to site contacts, supervisors, and/or emergency responders as needed.
