As a Security Officer Armed Enhanced Part Time Patrol in El Paso, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• An Armed Guard Card or license is preferred.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout transit facilities, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials when required, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or unusual activity to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident and activity reports, and support emergency personnel and/or local law enforcement during response activities when appropriate.
