Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit for residents, guests, visitors, vendors, and/or deliveries in accordance with property rules and post instructions.
• Verify identification, visitor information, and/or authorization credentials while maintaining accurate logs, reports, and other required documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with property management, residents, guests, and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the property, common areas, and perimeter, noting unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations for follow-up.
