About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Driving Role in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

An armed guard card and/or license is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and high-traffic spaces, verifying credentials and observing for unusual behavior, policy violations, and/or conditions that may require follow-up.
Maintain readiness to perform armed post duties in accordance with Allied Universal standards, site policies, and applicable laws while using sound judgment during routine and emergency situations.
