Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A Level III Armed Guard Card is required in Texas only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas for unusual behavior, policy violations, and/or potential theft-related activity, and assist with access control and incident response as needed.
  • Support closing, opening, and after-hours checks by inspecting designated areas, verifying doors and gates are properly secured, and communicating maintenance and/or hazard-related issues to appropriate personnel.
