As a Security Officer Armed Driver Patrols in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess 1+ years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a 40 caliber endorsement.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, transit-related areas, parking locations, and perimeter points, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify identification and/or credentials when required, and support authorized entry procedures in accordance with site policies and post orders.
  • Support emergency and public assistance activities by providing visible presence, communicating with supervisors and/or local authorities, and following established protocols during medical, fire, transportation, and other security-related incidents.
