About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Driver Patrol Specialist in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a corrections officer license.
  • Possess a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Possess a law enforcement officer license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting relevant details through proper channels.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and verify identification, visitor entry, and/or authorized vehicle access in accordance with post orders and government location protocols.
  • Support public-facing operations by assisting employees, visitors, and/or contractors with directions, information, and reporting of security-related concerns.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
