About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Driver Patrol Response in CHICAGO, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a higher education location, you will monitor and patrol campus areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. This driving post requires an armed guard card/license and a valid driver’s license. Requirements

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence-related locations, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and assist with access control procedures, visitor direction, and reporting of unauthorized entry or security-related concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and communicate observations, hazards, and security-related issues to appropriate personnel.
